The CIGR Canton Grevenmacher has been a non-profit organization since 1997. It is politically, ideologically, and religiously neutral.
The association pursues two main objectives:

The first is to help unemployed individuals find work and reintegrate into social life.

The second is to develop services that meet unmet needs within the community.
The CIGR Canton Grevenmacher is contracted and funded by the Ministère du Travail and the municipalities of Grevenmacher, Mertert, Wormeldange, Flaxweiler, Manternach, Biwer, and Bech.
To promote environmental education, CIGR is also certified by SuperDrecksKëscht for waste management and recycling and is accredited by the Association d’Assurance Accident.
